Manchester City won their first English top flight title in 44 years
after won of the most astonishing finishes ever to a Premier League
season.
Bosnian Edin Dzeko and Argentine Sergio Aguero both scored
in injury time as City turned a 2-1 deficit into a 3-2 victory,
stealing the title from arch-rivals Manchester United in the process.
United
looked on course to win yet another Premier League title as they held a
1-0 lead at Sunderland while City were down against 10-man QPR
following goals from Djibril Cisse and Jamie Mackie.
But just as
it looked as though Roberto Mancini’s side had thrown away their chance
at the title, Dzeko and Aguero netted in the space of three injury time
minutes to seal a victory that will linger long in the memory of all who
saw it.
