Arjen Robben knows Bayern Munich must seize their rare chance to win the Champions League final against Chelsea on Saturday.
Netherlands
international Robben believes making it to the final of Europe’s elite
club competition is a considerable achievement.
The former Chelsea
and Real Madrid man is eager to come out on top this time around after
losing the 2010 final 2-0 to Inter Milan.
“This is a unique chance,” he told De Telegraaf ahead of the final at Bayern’s Allianz Arena.
“You never know whether you will ever make it to the final of the Champions League again. We have to make it happen now.”
“I think that the lost 2010 Champions League final will only have a positive impact.”
Robben did acknowledge Bayern’s 5-2 defeat to Borussia Dortmund in the DFB Pokal final on Saturday has knocked their confidence.
“That definitely was a bit of a blow to our morale,” he said.
“That was a very nice trophy that we wanted to win as well.”
